Spring 2016 Week 2

After all the excitement from starting back up that surrounded Week 1, Week 2 was great for both the instructors and kids to get back into their lessons and focus on achieving the goals they have set this semester! The kids worked on skills like learning freestyle kick, floating on their back, and starting new strokes like breaststroke!

We ended the lessons with a game time, where different lesson times played pool games like Red Light/Green Light, Sharks & Minnows, and Basketball!

We have also uploaded all of the pictures we have so far from this semester on our Facebook Page which you can access by clicking on the Facebook button below. We will also be posting pictures from past lessons that we have not yet uploaded, so be on the look out for those as well! We had a great week 2 and can't wait for our third lesson this Sunday! We hope you have a fantastic week!

Best,

The Swim 4 Success Team

Spring 2016 Week 1

We are so excited to be back with you all after a long winter and Mardi Gras break! Our instructors were eagerly waiting to get back in the pool and get back to swimming! Each lesson started by meeting everyone in our lesson times, and going over the safety rules again. The kids were ready to jump back in and show what they remembered from last semester!

We also want to recognize and welcome our new instructors and new families who have joined us this semester, and we can't wait to share this experience with you all. We are so excited to start another semester and we are counting down the days until our next lesson! See you all next Sunday!

Thank You!

We are proud to announce that Swim 4 Success has won CACTUS’ Commitment to Children Award! This award recognizes continued efforts in improving the quality of life, health, and educational opportunities for New Orleans’ children and their families. In addition, our very own Suzanne McShane has won CACTUS’ Outstanding Leader Award! Suzanne, thank you so much for the countless hours you poured into Swim 4 Success along with your passion, exuberance, and love that accompanied you every Sunday to Riely! We are forever indebted to you.

We are both delighted and honored to receive these awards, and as we eagerly wait to jump back in the pool, they serve as continued motivation to work even harder next semester. We are privileged to work with such wonderful kids and families in conjunction with amazing organizations like Tulane CACTUS who allow us to focus on spreading our love for swimming to New Orleans youth! Thank you so much for another amazing semester!
